Campus France in Morocco: the “Études en France” procedure step by step

To study in France from Morocco, almost everything goes through Campus France's “Études en France” procedure. Calendar, documents, interview, fees: here is how to prepare it calmly.

What the “Études en France” procedure is for

Campus France is the French agency that welcomes international students. In Morocco, the Études en France platform is used both to apply to French programmes and to prepare your visa application: your file, your choices and the opinion given after your interview are sent to the consulate.
In practice, without a complete Études en France file there is no student visa. It is the very first step to start, several months before the academic year.

Does it apply to you?

  • You are Moroccan or live in Morocco and you aim for a bachelor's degree, a BUT, a master's, an engineering or business school: the procedure applies to you.
  • You hold a French baccalaureate (French school network): for a first year of bachelor's you usually apply on Parcoursup, but you still go through Études en France for the visa.
  • A school has already accepted you (for example a private school not connected to the platform): you still create an Études en France file, with your admission letter, to take the interview and get the visa.

Key dates

For the September 2027 intake, Campus France Morocco opened applications on 1 October 2026. For programmes connected to the platform, your file must be submitted and paid before 15 November 2026 at 11:59 pm (Moroccan time). An unpaid file is not processed.
Some programmes have different dates: always check each programme's deadline in your application basket and on the Campus France Morocco website.

The steps, in order

  1. Create your account on the Études en France platform (keep your login details safe).
  2. Fill in your personal details and your background: baccalaureate, higher education, grades.
  3. Take a French test if you are not exempt (TCF, DELF B2 or DALF depending on the programme).
  4. Choose your programmes and add them to your basket, checking the requirements of each.
  5. Write a motivation for each programme: why this programme, why France, which career plan.
  6. Submit the file and pay the Campus France fees.
  7. Take the Campus France interview, then follow the schools' answers on the platform.
  8. Confirm your choice, then prepare the visa application.

Documents to prepare

  • A valid passport (renew it early, you will also need it for the visa).
  • Baccalaureate diploma and transcripts, then higher education diplomas and transcripts.
  • CV and motivation letters.
  • French test certificate, if required.
  • Admission letter, if a school has already accepted you.
Scan your documents clearly, in colour, and give each file a clear name: a tidy file is processed faster.

The Campus France interview

Once your file is validated, Campus France invites you to an interview. It checks that your plan is consistent: your programme choices, your background, your career plan and how you will fund your studies. It is not an exam, but a clear, well-explained plan makes the difference, including for the opinion sent to the consulate.

Fees

Campus France file fees are paid once per academic year. For the previous campaign they were 1,900 dirhams, non-refundable. Check this year's amount on the Campus France Morocco website before paying.

Our advice

  • Start as soon as applications open: in the last days, appointments and translations take longer.
  • Choose programmes that are consistent with each other and with your background.
  • Prepare your funding plan now: it will be required for the visa.
  • Proofread your motivations: schools read them.
